Aesthetics 101: What's the Difference?
Neurotoxin & filler are entirely different treatments
Neurotoxin (Tox)
A liquid drawn up in a microneedle and injected into facial muscles to relax them. Results take 3–14 days to see full effects. Very slight swelling may occur at the injection site and is usually gone within an hour. Toxin is sold by the unit. Results last 3–4 months (Daxxify up to 6 months).
Dermal Filler
A hyaluronic acid gel in a prefilled syringe injected into areas you wish to be fuller. Results are immediate. Numbing cream is used to reduce discomfort. Swelling may occur for a few days and can be helped with ice packs. Results last 6 months to 2 years depending on placement and maintenance.
