Richard D. Brinson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Richard D. Brinson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of healthcare experience specializing in acute care, emergency medicine, medical weight management, hormone optimization, and aesthetic medicine. He is also a licensed Medical Examiner and is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Throughout his career, Richard has served patients at some of the Lowcountry's busiest emergency and trauma facilities, including MUSC Trauma Center, Roper St. Francis Emergency Department, and Trident Medical Center Emergency Department. His extensive emergency medicine background has provided him with exceptional diagnostic skills and the ability to care for patients with a wide range of complex medical conditions.
Richard's passion for helping patients look and feel their best led him to pursue advanced training in aesthetic medicine. He completed comprehensive education in neurotoxins and dermal fillers through Aesthetic Medical Training, one of the nation's most respected physician-led aesthetic training programs. He further refined his skills by training alongside Dr. Deborah Hudak in Raleigh, North Carolina, a board-certified ophthalmologist, oculofacial surgeon, and internationally recognized leader in cosmetic surgery.
His interest in medical weight management began while practicing at Advanced Medical Weight Loss Center under the mentorship of Dr. Slott. Since then, Richard has dedicated years to studying the science of obesity medicine, nutrition, metabolism, exercise, and behavioral change. By combining GLP-1 therapies, individualized nutrition planning, and ongoing patient coaching, he has helped countless patients achieve sustainable, long-term weight loss and improved overall health.
Richard earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Charleston Southern University with a 3.8 GPA, and his Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Cincinnati with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He has also received certifications of completion in Bio-Identical Hormone Restoration Therapy, IV Treatment, Medical Weight Management, and Weight Loss Drug Therapy through the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine.

Adrienne Richardson
Patient Care Coordinator | Certified Phlebotomist
Adrienne Richardson is a Certified Phlebotomist who earned her certification from Trident Technical College. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Charleston, bringing a unique blend of creativity, organization, and patient-centered communication to the New You team.
Before joining New You Weight Loss & Wellness Center, Adrienne gained extensive experience as a personal trainer with Burn Boot Camp, where she developed a passion for helping others achieve healthier, more active lifestyles. She has also demonstrated exceptional leadership and customer service through her management experience with TJX Companies, Inc.
Adrienne's dedication to health, wellness, and patient success makes her an invaluable part of the New You family. Whether encouraging patients throughout their weight loss journey or providing compassionate care, she is committed to helping every patient feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to reach their goals.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Adrienne is the proud mother of two beautiful children. Her warm personality, positive attitude, and genuine desire to help others make her a favorite among patients and colleagues alike.
Whitney Brinson, MSN, RN
Family Nurse Practitioner Graduate
Whitney Brinson, MSN, RN, brings a combination of advanced clinical training, compassionate patient care, and a lifelong connection to the mission behind New You Weight Loss & Wellness Center.
Whitney graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree, earning a perfect 4.0 GPA. She previously earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Charleston Southern University, graduating with a 3.96 GPA and receiving the Academic Excellence Award. She was also inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Alpha Chi National College Honor Society.
Her nursing career includes experience at East Cooper Medical Center and the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, where she served in leadership and patient-care roles including Charge Nurse, Nurse Preceptor, and Women's Health Liaison. In 2024, Whitney was honored with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, recognizing her commitment to exceptional and compassionate patient care.
Whitney has also been an important part of the New You team, working directly with weight-management patients and gaining hands-on experience with GLP-1 therapies, vitamin injections, patient assessments, nutrition and exercise education, and ongoing weight-loss support.
As the daughter of New You founders Richard and Tammy Brinson, Whitney represents the next generation of their family-owned practice. She shares their commitment to creating a healthcare experience where patients are known personally, treated with compassion, and supported throughout their journey — not simply given a prescription.
With advanced training in primary care, preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and wellness, Whitney is passionate about helping patients improve their health through individualized, evidence-based care.

Tammy Brinson
Vice President & New Patient Coordinator
Tammy Brinson serves as Vice President and New Patient Coordinator at New You Weight Loss & Wellness Center, where she combines decades of business leadership with a genuine passion for helping patients achieve healthier lives.
Tammy studied Accounting and Finance at Charleston Southern University and has built a successful career as an entrepreneur and business leader. She is the co-owner of Brinson's Tax Service, where she has prepared complex business, individual, and estate tax returns for more than 25 years. Throughout her career, Tammy has owned and operated several successful businesses, including serving as Founder and CEO of the nationally recognized Dream Dolls National Pageant System.
Committed to lifelong learning, Tammy has completed extensive continuing education in tax law, business management, marketing, and graphic design. Her diverse background allows her to oversee operations, enhance the patient experience, and develop many of the educational and marketing materials that represent the New You brand.
Tammy's greatest passion, however, comes from her own personal transformation. Having struggled with obesity since childhood, she understands firsthand the emotional and physical challenges that many patients face. After losing more than 130 pounds, she is dedicated to encouraging others through compassionate support, practical advice, nutritional guidance, and genuine understanding. Her personal experience enables her to connect with patients on a level that extends far beyond the clinic.
Richard and Tammy have been happily married for more than 30 years. Together, they are proud parents of four children and grandparents to two beautiful grandchildren. They are committed to serving the Moncks Corner community by providing compassionate, personalized healthcare and wellness services that help patients become the healthiest version of themselves.
